Facade Performance Is Engineering, Not Marketing

A facade looks like a wall and performs like a building system. Energy efficiency is decided by glass coatings, frame thermal breaks and IGU construction. Weather-tightness is decided by drainage design, sealant strategy and test discipline. This section documents how Hanart designs, tests and verifies both — with the numbers a buyer can hold us to.

Performance Programs

Two disciplines, one standard: verified performance

Every Hanart facade is engineered to a measurable target — and tested before dispatch. Choose the discipline that matches your brief.

Energy-Efficient Facade Solutions

U-values engineered for your climate zone — from triple glazing for −40°C winters to solar-control low-E for hot, humid regions. Per-orientation coating selection, thermal-break frames and mock-up thermal imaging before fabrication begins.

  • U-value range: 0.9–2.2 W/m²·K
  • SHGC range: 0.22–0.55 tuned by orientation
  • Verification: test reports + mock-up thermography

Weather-Tight & Durable Facade Solutions

Air leakage, water penetration and wind-load resistance engineered as a drainage system, not a hope. Every production run is sprayed and pressure-cycled in our plant test cabinet; joint design anticipates expansion, ingress and decades of maintenance access.

  • Air / water: GB/T 21086 Grade 3–5
  • Wind load: 3.0–5.0 kPa design
  • Verification: plant cabinet + field inspection

Test Discipline

Tested before dispatch, verified on site

Performance claims are only as good as the test that backs them. Our Qingpu plant operates a seal-integrity test cabinet, and every project ships with the test records that a demanding buyer can audit.

From test cabinet to completed building

  • Factory test cabinet. Representative panels from every production run are water-sprayed and pressure-cycled before dispatch. Failures are caught at the factory, not on the 30th floor.
  • Mock-up verification. For performance-critical projects we build and test a full-scale mock-up — thermal imaging, air and water testing — and freeze the approved detail before mass fabrication.
  • Site seal integrity. Completed facades are inspected by our QA crews, with drone-assisted checks at height on large installations.
  • Documented handover. Every project closes with test reports, material certificates and as-built performance data a maintenance team can rely on.

FAQ

Questions we hear most often, answered

Each production run is sprayed and pressure-cycled in the plant test cabinet, and mock-up thermography runs before fabrication begins.

Yes. Test reports and mock-up results are issued with the project package on request.

Every facade is engineered to a measurable target; the values above are the standard envelope Hanart verifies against.
