ACP / ACM Aluminum Composite Panel Systems
Aluminum composite panels (ACP/ACM) provide the lightest-weight facade cladding solution with the broadest design flexibility. We engineer and install ACP systems with fire-resistant mineral cores and PVDF coatings for commercial buildings, retail facades, signage and renovation projects where budget and speed are critical.
What our ACP/ACM system includes
An aluminum composite panel is a sandwich: thin aluminum skins (0.5 mm) bonded to a core material. The core determines fire performance, weight and cost. We specify mineral-filled or aluminum honeycomb cores for all facade applications — never polyethylene (PE) cores on buildings above two stories.

System composition
- Proven overseas. Hanart delivered unitized curtain wall and granite cladding on the Asian Olympic Council project in Kuwait and composite-panel facades across Middle East and Central Asia — evidence that our ACP detailing performs in extreme heat and dust environments.
- Front aluminum skin. 0.5 mm aluminum coil, coil-coated with PVDF in the factory for consistent film thickness and color uniformity.
- Rear aluminum skin. 0.5 mm aluminum, typically mill finish or light color; corrosion-resistant coating on the interior face.
- Core material. Mineral-filled fire-resistant core (FR grade, GB 8624 Class A2 or EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0) or aluminum honeycomb for high-strength applications. Core density 80–150 kg/m³.
- Adhesive film. Roll-coated polymer adhesive bonds aluminum to core under heat and pressure in a continuous lamination line.
- Mounting system. Grooved rear face accepts clip-on or route-and-fold hanging brackets; panels can be removed individually for maintenance.
We source ACP from certified manufacturers with continuous lamination lines, fire-test reports and ISO 9001 quality systems. Every batch is inspected for delamination, dimensional tolerance and coating adhesion before shipment to site.
ACP core types and fire performance
Mineral-Filled FR Core
Fire rating: GB 8624 A2 / EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0
Weight: 4.5–6.5 kg/m² (4 mm)
Typical use: High-rise commercial, public buildings
Mineral-filled core replaces combustible polyethylene with inorganic minerals. Achieves non-combustible or limited-combustible classification, meeting fire codes for buildings above 24 meters in China and most international jurisdictions.
Aluminum Honeycomb Core
Fire rating: GB 8624 A1 / EN 13501-1 A2-s1,d0
Weight: 6.0–8.0 kg/m² (10–25 mm)
Typical use: High-end commercial, lobbies, feature walls
Aluminum honeycomb core offers the highest stiffness-to-weight ratio and best fire performance. Suitable for large-span panels, curved applications and locations where impact resistance is required.
Specialty Cores
Options: Corrugated aluminum, 3D-formed, anti-bacterial
Weight: Varies by design
Typical use: Healthcare, clean rooms, special environments
Specialty cores include corrugated aluminum for acoustic damping, anti-bacterial coatings for healthcare facades, and 3D-formed cores for curved panels. We can source custom core configurations for specific project requirements.

Where ACP/ACM panels have been used
Retail & Commercial Renovation
ACP panels are the standard choice for retail facade renovation: lightweight, fast to install, and available in brand-matched colors. We have completed ACP recladding for shopping malls, hotel podiums and office lobbies. View commercial projects →
Signage & Corporate Identity
Large-format ACP panels with CNC-cut logos and illuminated backing create high-impact corporate signage. We can produce custom colors, perforation patterns and 3D-formed elements for branded facades. Download signage case studies →
Healthcare & Public Buildings
Anti-bacterial ACP panels with easy-clean surfaces are specified for hospital facades, clinics and public buildings where hygiene maintenance is critical. View project gallery →

Why specify Hanart ACP/ACM systems
Fire-safe core specification
We specify only mineral-filled or aluminum honeycomb cores for all facade applications. PE-core ACP is never used on buildings above two stories. Fire-test reports (GB 8624, EN 13501-1) are provided for every project.
Certified supply chain
ACP is sourced from manufacturers with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and fire-test certifications. We conduct incoming inspection for delamination, coating adhesion and dimensional tolerance before panels reach site.
Installation expertise
Our installation teams are trained in ACP hanging systems, thermal movement joints and sealant discipline. Fast installation reduces scaffolding time and construction cost.
Design flexibility
Custom colors, perforation patterns, curved panels and 3D-formed elements are all within our fabrication scope. We provide BIM coordination and shop drawings for complex ACP facades.
Top-50 contractor credentials
Ranked among China's top 50 curtain wall contractors since 2005. Six National Luban Prizes. Full financial and technical pre-qualification available for tender submissions.
Export experience
ACP panels shipped to Mongolia, Central Asia and Southeast Asia with export packing and full documentation. We manage ocean freight, customs clearance and site delivery.

ACP/ACM panel FAQ
- What is the difference between ACP and ACM?
- ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) and ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) refer to the same product. ACP is the common term in Asia and Europe; ACM is more common in North America. Both describe sandwich panels with aluminum skins and a core material.
- Are ACP panels safe for high-rise buildings?
- Only ACP with fire-resistant cores (mineral-filled FR or aluminum honeycomb) is safe for high-rise buildings. PE-core ACP is combustible and prohibited on buildings above two stories in most jurisdictions. We specify FR-core ACP for all facade applications and provide fire-test documentation.
- How long does PVDF coating last on ACP?
- PVDF coating on ACP carries a 15–20 year warranty for color retention and chalking resistance. In aggressive climates (coastal, desert, industrial), cosmetic refresh may be needed after 12–15 years.
- Can ACP panels be curved or formed?
- Yes. ACP can be cold-bent to gentle radii (R ≥ 500 mm for 4 mm panels) and formed into cassette profiles, trays and 3D shapes. Tight-radius curves may require segmented construction or thermoforming depending on core type.
