Milestones & awards: the contract documents of a reputation
An award is the construction industry writing a referable letter about a contractor. This page explains how China's Luban Prize is actually judged, then lists the six Luban award-winning projects and the broader provincial and ministerial quality record behind them.
The award is an audit, not a beauty contest

The Luban Prize is China's highest engineering-quality award in construction, administered nationally and presented to a deliberately limited number of projects each year. It is judged on three documented dimensions: construction and material quality (including fabrication precision, installation tolerances and finishing), technical innovation (new systems, engineering methods or solutions that raise the standard for the industry), and social value (the project's significance as public, cultural, research or industrial infrastructure).
For an overseas owner evaluating a curtain wall contractor, the value of a Luban Prize is that it survives scrutiny. Winning requires inspection at every stage of construction — not a design-stage submission. The award therefore certifies the same things a party wall audit would look for: workmanship that can be examined, processes that were verified, and outcomes that were measured. Hanart's six Luban Prizes were earned on projects built between 2008 and 2015 — stadiums, a museum, an airport, an industrial assembly hall, a research facility and a commercial tower — which is why they remain the strongest single line of evidence in our prequalification pack.

| Project | Year | Building Type | Envelope Delivered |
|---|---|---|---|
| National Indoor Stadium, Beijing | 2008 | Sports venue | Large-span metal roofing & facade systems |
| Zhejiang Art Museum, Hangzhou | 2008 | Cultural institution | Stone cladding & point-supported glass |
| Tianjin Airbus A320 Assembly Line | 2009 | Industrial | Seam-locked metal roofing, zero-leak discipline |
| Taiyuan Wusu Airport Terminal | 2009 | Airport | Terminal glazing & long-span roof drainage |
| Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility | 2009 | Research facility | Precision envelope for stability-critical science |
| Senlan International Plaza, Shanghai | 2015 | Commercial complex | Unitized curtain wall system |
Beyond the six: thirty-plus quality awards the industry can verify
Alongside the national Luban Prizes, Hanart holds more than thirty provincial- and ministerial-level engineering quality awards accumulated since the 1990s. These include Shanghai municipal quality recognitions such as Magnolia Cup awards and equivalent provincial distinctions on projects across China. For an overseas evaluator, this depth matters for one practical reason: the award record is continuous. The company did not win six national prizes in a single campaign — it has been earning verifiable quality recognition year after year across a wide spread of building types, which is a more reliable predictor of future performance than any single trophy.
Provincial and ministerial awards are judged by the same quality-first logic as the Luban Prize, applied regionally: inspection of actual workmanship, verification of construction records, and assessment of the project's contribution to its community. The accumulation of more than thirty such awards — across sports, cultural, airport, industrial, commercial and institutional buildings — documents a quality culture that survives staff rotation, market cycles and geographic expansion.
