Window Wall System Technical Downloads

Complete technical documentation for Hanart window wall systems — panelized window wall details, floor-line interfaces, acoustic data, and fire-rated assembly details for hotels, apartments, and offices.

System Overview

Window Wall System

Hanart window wall systems are pre-assembled panel units installed between floor slabs, offering rapid installation and excellent cost efficiency for hotels, residential towers, offices, and mixed-use buildings.

Floor-Line Installation

Panelized units install between slab edges with simplified anchoring — no structural dead load transfer to the building frame. Typical cycle: 15–25 panels per day per crew.

Integrated Window + Wall

Each panel combines vision glass, spandrel insulation, and finishes in one factory-assembled unit, eliminating coordination issues between window and curtain wall trades.

Acoustic & Fire Solutions

Configurations include acoustic-rated assemblies (STC 40+) and fire-rated window wall units (up to 2-hour rating) for mixed-use and hotel applications.

Technical Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a window wall and a curtain wall?

A window wall installs between floor slabs — each panel hangs from or sits on the slab edge, with no dead load transfer through the facade frame. It's lighter, faster, and cheaper. A curtain wall spans multiple floors continuously, transferring structural loads through mullions to the building frame. Window walls are ideal for hotels, apartments, and mid-rise buildings; curtain walls suit tall towers and continuous structural facades.

Can window wall systems meet hotel acoustic requirements?

Yes — our assemblies achieve STC 35–45 depending on glazing. For hotels, we typically specify laminated acoustic glass (6.38+12A+6 built-up or equivalent) achieving STC 40+ at the critical floor-line and joint conditions, with flanking path analysis included in the engineering package.

How fast is window wall installation compared to unitized curtain wall?

Window wall installation is typically 20–40% faster than unitized curtain wall for buildings under 30 stories, because panels are smaller, lighter, and require no complex structural connections. Typical rates of 15–25 panels per day per crew shorten the facade program by 3–8 weeks on mid-rise towers.

Do you provide fire-rated window wall configurations?

Yes — we offer 1-hour and 2-hour fire-rated window wall assemblies, tested per ASTM E119 and GB 16809. Configurations incorporate fire-rated glazing, insulated spandrel panels with firestop materials, and intumescent seals at all perimeter joints. Assembly details are available in our download library.

Can window wall panels be replaced individually after construction?

Yes — individual panels are replaceable: the weatherseal is cut at the perimeter, the panel is unclipped or unscrewed from its anchor, and a replacement panel is installed with fresh sealing. Replacement time for a standard panel is 2–4 hours. Procedures are documented in the maintenance manual.
